Brazoria County beekeeping

Standbot

Hive stands take a beating on the Gulf Coast. These three shots are the stand-focused set for this page (full yard album is on the Gallery).

Standbot is my robot / automation project for the bee yard — building tools that help with hive stands, inspection support, and the heavy, repetitive parts of backyard beekeeping.

Why it exists

Hive boxes get heavy. Stands fail in Brazoria humidity. Good ergonomics keep beekeepers in the craft longer. Standbot is me exploring how simple robotics and smart stand design can make yard work safer and more consistent — without losing the hands-on soul of beekeeping.

Where it is now

This is an active project page. I will post progress, photos, and experiments here and in the journal as prototypes move forward. Expect honesty about what works and what gets rebuilt.
